About Turkey Cook Time
Turkey Cook Time was built to solve a simple problem: figuring out exactly when to start cooking the holiday turkey.
Every Thanksgiving, millions of people frantically search the internet trying to do the same backwards math:"If we eat at 3:00 PM, and the turkey needs to rest for 30 minutes, and it takes 4 hours to cook, when do I turn the oven on?"
Instead of just giving you a generic chart that says "cook for 3-4 hours," we built a calculator that does the backward timeline math for you. You tell us your turkey's weight, how you're cooking it, and when you want to eat — and we generate a precise timeline from thawing to carving.
Our Data
All of our cooking times, thawing schedules, and safe temperature guidelines are sourced directly from the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service. We believe in providing accurate, reliable information based on established food safety standards.
